The Xiaomi Civi 3 will be released later this week and now the company has revealed more details about the display and front cameras. The panel will keep the pill-shaped design in the center for dual cameras, just like the predecessor. One of the cameras will be for selfies, the other for vlogging with a wide 100 degree field of view.

The big change from previous Civi phones is that the new one will support 4K video recording, Xiaomi said in a Weibo post.

The phone is also said to weigh 173.5 grams with a slim body of 7.56mm at the base and a width of 71.7mm. Xiaomi says it will be the culmination of technology and design after being in development for over three years. The phone is aimed at young people who like to express themselves.

William Lu, a longtime Xiaomi executive who is now the president of the company, commented that the Civi 3 will take high-end photos while staying in the mid-range price range. The predecessor, Civi 2, was launched in September ’22 with a starting price of CNY 2,399 (about $350) and we expect the new smartphone to remain in the same range.
