vivo is working on expanding its already rather large Y line of entry-level smartphones, and details on two upcoming devices were released today. We are talking about the Y30 5G and the Y02s.

The vivo Y30 5G, not to be confused with the vivo Y30 launched in 2020, will soon arrive with the MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC at the helm, paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. It had already been certified by NBTC last week.

The phone is rumored to sport a 6.51-inch HD + 60Hz IPS LCD touchscreen and will work with Android 12. On the back it is expected to have a dual-camera setup with a 13MP main sensor and an 8MP ultrawide shooter. On the front will sit an 8MP selfie cam. The phone is said to have a 5,000mAh battery with a 10W charge.

Apparently the Y02s will have the same screen size and refresh rate, and thus could also share HD + resolution. This model will be powered by the MediaTek Helio P35 chipset, paired with 3GB of RAM and 64GB of storage.

As for the camera, you should expect the same setup as the Y01, with an 8MP rear snapper and a 5MP front shooter. There’s also a 5,000mAh battery in tow. The Y02s are said to go official by the end of this month, with an announcement most likely coming on July 28. It will be priced around $ 113, or around INR 9,400.
