Realme has already set an official announcement date for India for the Realme 9i 5G. The phone will arrive on August 18th and its design and some specifications had already been shared through the official channels. Now, a new large leak fills the rest of the gaps by showing the device from every angle and detailing its hardware.
The Realme 9i 5G sports a 6.6-inch, FullHD +, 90Hz LCD display with 180Hz touch sampling. As previously revealed by the company, it is powered by a Dimensity 810 chipset along with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage or 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage, expandable via a dedicated micro SD card slot. RAM is also “expandable” with up to 5GB of additional virtual memory via “Dynamic RAM Expansion”.
In the camera department, the Realme 9i 5G packs a 50MP main camera, a 2MP depth sensor, and a dedicated third macro cam. On the selfie side, there’s an 8MP snapper inside a teardrop notch. The phone boots Android 12 immediately and is powered by a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging. It also has a USB Type-C port, 3.5mm audio jack and dual SIM support.
Realme 9i 5G
As mentioned, the Realme 9i 5G is available in two memory levels and can be purchased in Gold or Black colors. Both feature a glossy “Laser Light Design” on the back that resembles the surface of a CD. There are no words about pricing yet, but Realme’s Madhav Sheth recently told us that the company will launch a 5G smartphone in India in the category from INR10,000 ($ 126 / € 123) to INR15,000 ($ 190 / € 185) . It might just be the Realme 9i 5G. For reference, the 9i 4G currently starts at INR13,499 ($ 170 / € 165) and goes all the way up to INR15,999 ($ 202 / € 197).
