Poco from Xiaomi unveiled the Poco M4 Pro 5G last November with the Dimensity 810 SoC and today the company announced its cheaper vanilla version, powered by the Dimensity 700 chip.
The Poco M4 5G runs the Android 12-based MIUI 13 and is available in two memory configurations: 4GB / 64GB and 6GB / 128GB. It also has a dedicated microSD card slot for memory expansion up to 512GB.
The Dimensity 700 powered smartphone packs a 6.58 “90Hz FullHD + LCD display, protected by Gorilla Glass 3 and equipped with an 8MP selfie camera notch. The panel supports an adaptive refresh rate, which means that it can switch between 30 Hz, 60 Hz and 90 Hz. depending on the type of content.
The rear panel of the Poco M4 5G, flaunting what Poco calls a Hypnotic Swirl Design, sports two cameras: 50MP primary unit and 2MP depth unit.
The rest of the highlights of the Poco M4 5G include a side-mounted fingerprint reader, 3.5mm headphone jack, Hi-Res audio certification, USB-C, and IP52 rating. Powering the entire package is a 5,000mAh battery with support for 18W wired and 5W reverse wired charging. However, the supplied adapter can go up to 22.5W.
The Poco M4 5G is offered in three colors and will be available for purchase in India starting May 5 via Flipkart. Its 4GB / 64GB model is priced at INR12,999 ($ 170 / € 160), while the 6GB / 128GB version will set you back INR14,999 ($ 195 / € 185). However, those who purchase the smartphone with their SBI credit card are entitled to a limited time discount of INR2,000 ($ 26 / € 24).
