WhatsApp allows you to link up to four Android phones to your main account, and you can access all normal WhatsApp features and message encryption.

Companion mode is activated by accessing the options menu on the registration screen and selecting “Connect a device” from the drop-down menu. The feature has only been implemented for some beta users for now, while a larger rollout will take longer.

The latest beta of WhatsApp for Android also offers the possibility to connect an Android tablet. This feature is only available to some beta testers for now and can be found in the beta option of connected devices in the devices section of the settings menu. The pairing process is simple and is done by scanning a QR code.
