As we wrap up the first week of the year 2023, we find our chart with the most unusual of leaders. Motorola’s Lenovo ThinkPhone, as is its official name, was the biggest announcement at CES 2023 and even though it’s only intended as a B2B product, it definitely caught the attention of you guys.

In second place we have the Redmi Note 12, which just made its debut in India. In a long-standing Xiaomi tradition, the global model is different from the Chinese one even though the two are called the same.

The Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra completes the podium, slightly surpassing the Redmi Note 12 Pro, which had to settle for fourth place.

The Redmi K60 Pro, which debuted right after Christmas and went on sale on New Year’s Day, sits in fifth place. It managed to keep up with OnePlus’ just unveiled flagship: the 11 (the company dropped the Pro from the name this year).

Two long-standing members of the top 10 follow, the Samsung Galaxy A53 places ahead of the Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max in seventh and eighth place.

Xiaomi 13 Pro was the leader in the last edition of the trend chart, but after a two-week break it dropped to ninth place. However, it will inevitably bounce back when international availability arrives.

Last place goes to the Apple iPhone XR, by far the oldest phone in the top 10. Introduced in 2018 and even then as a more affordable model, the colorful XR refuses to leave the spotlight.

I’ll see you next week!
