Next year’s Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra is said to replace the 3x telephoto lens seen on the Galaxy S23 Ultra with a 5x telephoto lens. However, the selfie camera on the S24 Ultra and the Vanilla and Plus models in the range will not receive any hardware updates.

The word comes from the Dutch publication GalaxyClub, which states that Samsung will continue to use the 12MP selfie camera from the S23 range on the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+ and Galaxy S24 Ultra. However, that doesn’t necessarily mean that the S24 series won’t take better selfies as Samsung could still improve the front camera performance with software optimizations.

Samsung is also rumored to be reusing the 200MP sensor from the S23 Ultra on the S24 Ultra. But fortunately, we could see an increase in charging speeds from 45W to 65W on the S24+ and S24 Ultra as the Korean company is expected to use stacked battery technology for these models. However, the S24 will only go up to 25W.
