We’ve already heard a couple of times that Samsung plans to equip the upcoming Galaxy S23 Ultra with a 200MP camera, and today another report apparently “confirms” this information, however much a rumor may be in any case.
According to sources from the Korean house of Samsung, the company has informed “key camera partners” that it will use a 200MP camera in the next generation of its flagship device. The 108MP resolution currently in use debuted with the Galaxy S20 Ultra two years ago and will be three years before the S23 launch.

So Samsung will once again play the numbers game, matching Motorola’s X30 Pro unveiled earlier this month and, according to some rumors, also matching the upcoming Xiaomi 12T Pro. While the resolution may be the same, Samsung could use a new sensor for its own device and not any of those that it also sells to its competitors.
