Samsung decided to skip the Galaxy S22 FE last year due to ongoing chip shortages and increased demand for its flagship Galaxy S22 Ultra. A new report from the South Korean news The Elect suggests that the Fan Edition series is expected to return in 2023 with the Galaxy S23 FE launching around the time of August/September.

The Galaxy FE series gained popularity with the Galaxy S20 FE in 2020 with over 10 million shipments that year alone. Keeping up with such a well-received device is tough, and the Galaxy S21 FE didn’t perform so well, which has caused Samsung to reconsider its FE lineup releases in the future.

Samsung Galaxy S23 FE is said to be launched in the second half of 2023

Based on the new report, Samsung will skip the Galaxy A74 and instead focus on launching the S23 FE in more markets. Samsung is trying to reshape the Galaxy A series portfolio, and the A7 series will likely be cut. The next FE phone will launch with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 For Galaxy or the 2022 Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 top dog.
