The iQOO Z7 Pro isn’t out yet (it’s coming soon, according to an official teaser), but we’re already starting to see benchmark scores from the Z8 series. Note that there might be some quirks with the naming in different regions, otherwise it would be weird for the Z7 and Z8 phones to launch at the same time.

Either way, the vivo V2314A is expected to be called the “iQOO Z8” and its Geekbench 6.1.0 score points to a Dimensity 8200 chipset (paired with 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM here). For comparison, the Z7 Pro showed a Snapdragon 782G in its Geekbench scorecard (and again 12GB of RAM).

Geekbench 6.1.0 scorecards: iQOO Z8x (V2312A)

Geekbench 6.1.0 scorecards: iQOO Z8 (V2314A) • iQOO Z8x (V2312A)

Moving on to the other device, the vivo V2312A will probably go by the name of “iQOO Z8x”. This one has 8GB of RAM and is powered by the rare Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset. This is actually a newer part (Samsung 4nm vs TSMC’s 6nm) than the 782G, but it runs its Cortex-A78 cores at speeds of clocked lower (all four at 2.2 GHz versus one at 2.7 GHz and three at 2.4 GHz). But you could probably tell from the benchmark results.

Anyway, iQOO already has a couple of phones using the Dimension 8200 (e.g. Neo7 and Neo7 SE), but none with 6 Gen 1.

The iQOO Z8 will have a 120Hz LCD, according to rumors, as well as a 5,000mAh battery with 120W fast charging. The iQOO Z8x will tip the balance with a larger 6,000mAh battery and 80W charger slower (but still quite fast) (just like the Z7x).
