OnePlus today turned a new page in history with the brand new OnePlus Ace smartphone. The first of its kind in the new series, OP Ace was announced in China with a slightly customized Dimensity 8100 Max chipset, a 120Hz AMOLED screen, and a lightning-fast 150W charging, for a 50% charge in 5 minutes. These specs might sound familiar and there’s a good reason, the OnePlus Ace shares many similarities with the Realme GT Neo3 – the two companies are under the BBK wing.

OnePlus Ace offers some not-so-common design features for a OnePlus phone. It has a centered hole for its 16MP selfie cam, a first for the brand as previous OP phones relied on corner cutouts. There is no warning slider that has been a staple for the brand since its inception. The AMOLED display sports a 6.7-inch diagonal with FHD + resolution and the aforementioned 120Hz refresh rate.
There is a 50MP main cam with OIS on the back, coupled with an 8MP ultrawide snapper and a 2MP macro cam.
MediaTek’s Dimenisty 8100 Max sits at the helm aided by 8/12 GB of RAM and up to 512 GB of storage. OnePlus hasn’t explicitly said what the Max has compared to the regular Dimensity 8100 aside from improved AI capabilities, but we’ll make sure to let you know when more information emerges.
The phone is equipped with a 4,500mAh dual-cell battery with 150W SuperVOOC fast charging. OnePlus has implemented several battery protection measures that regulate heat and claims that the phone should retain more than 80% of the battery capacity. after 1,600 complete charge cycles. OnePlus Ace will be available in black and blue colors. The base 8/128 GB model will sell for 2,499 CNY ($ 388). There’s an 8/256 GB model for CNY 2,699 ($ 420) as well as a 12/256 GB tier for CNY 2,999 ($ 465) and a top-of-the-line 12/512 GB model for CNY 3,499 ($ 543).
Open sales in China will go live on April 26th. The OnePlus Ace is expected to make its international debut in India as the OnePlus 10R on April 28th.
