There are now just a few hours left until Apple’s big presentation event which will take place on September 12th at 10:00 local time in California. And it seems that many companies want to steal some of the spotlight, even for a very short period of time.

Case in point (pun intended): case maker Spigen. In general he produces very popular smartphone cases, but today he decided to put on his leaker costume and published this on X:

That’s not even a subtle post, is it? Is there something new and different, what could it be? Oh look, the incredibly often mentioned configurable action button! It’s there, under your Spigen case, for all to see, waiting for you to decide what to use it for. Unlike the fixed-function mute switch it’s replacing, it’s all up to you.

We wonder what Apple, a company notoriously paranoid in terms of security when it comes to leaks, thinks of a stunt like this. But anyway, the post is still up to date at the time of writing, so it’s fair game.

In case you needed further confirmation that the action button is coming, well, here you go. Keep in mind, however, that recent rumors all agree that only the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max would have it. Why were vanilla models excluded? To create some artificial differentiation, of course, just like last year with Dynamic Island, which this time will come on all four models, by the way.

If you’re wondering how to watch Apple’s event, here’s our guide for you and don’t worry, we’ll bring you all the news as it happens.
