Based on last week’s survey, 22% of people believe that the €150 price premium for the Xiaomi 13T Pro is worth it for the additional features over the vanilla 13T. That’s not to say the vanilla phone is undesirable, of course.

However, the Xiaomi 13T needs good reviews because right now there is an almost even split between people who are ready to buy one and people who are waiting to see how the phone performs in testing. Our review is coming soon, so stay tuned.

Comparison between the two models shows that the Pro model has a faster chipset (Dimensity 9200+ compared to Dimensity 8200 Ultra) and comes with an extra 4 gigs of RAM in the base configuration. On top of that, there’s faster charging support (120W versus 67W), so a full charge takes less than half the time (19 minutes versus 42 minutes). For more information on the advantages of the Pro model, see our review of the Xiaomi 13T Pro.

These things make the Xiaomi 13T Pro the most sought-after model – not by much, but there is a clear difference in the rankings. The Pro has been compared in the comments to the Redmi K60 Ultra, however, this is a China-only model that you can’t get without a gray import, you’ll also have to install a new ROM on it and you’ll lose manufacturer support too.

This leads into a different discussion that was taking place in the comments: It appears the 13T series is missing a model. Something smaller than the 6.67-inch 13T and 13T Pro, which are 75.7mm wide and weigh about 200g.

After mentioning support, Xiaomi upped its game and matched Samsung on OS and security updates. Some still scoff at MIUI, but this is still a victory for Xiaomi software. The two phones also have a full IP68 rating, unlike the 12T models (the Pro had IP53, the vanilla model had no rating at all).

Finally, the success of the Xiaomi 13T and 13T Pro will vary by region. In some countries these two have killer prices that dwarf the competition, in others not so much.
