The rumors of a new tablet from nubia were true, the ZTE brand revealed today. At the July 5 launch, we will see the Red Magic Gaming Tablet, according to the company’s official Weibo page. It will have relatively thin bezels, a single front camera and a large diagonal.

The event will also see the launch of the Red Magic Dao TWS earphones, flagship audio wearables with “extreme aesthetics and performance.”

There is no news on the specifications of the Red Magic Tablet. We can only assume that it will carry a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 or Dimension 9200+ chipset. The screen size has not been mentioned so far, but we expect a large diagonal, probably 12.1″. It may or may not be a rebranded ZTE Axon Pad with a 10,000mAh battery and a 605g body, but we’ll know with certainty Wednesday.

The event is only five days away, and nubia also previously revealed that the Red Magic 8S Pro smartphone will have 165W fast charging and a 6,000mAh battery. Since the phone is pretty much a copycat of the Red Magic 8 Pro series, we could see the regular 8S Pro sporting the large cell while having a fast-charging 8S Pro+ sibling with a smaller 5,000mAh capacity.

Both phones will also have an improved under-display camera, which we’ve already seen in official renders. nubia believes that gaming smartphones shouldn’t have any notches or holes, and as we established in our Red Magic 8 Pro review, it looks really good in real life and the camera is barely visible.
