In the latest APK teardown, 9to5Google discovered a curious new feature coming to the Google Meets app for Android. It seems that Google wants to make conversations safer when on the go. That’s why the feature is called “On-the-Go”.

The feature itself is super simple: Once Meet detects that you’re walking during a conference call, it’ll prompt you to turn on the On-the-Go feature. This will disable the camera and mute the other participants’ audio stream just for you. However, the rest of the participants will remain unaffected.

Also, the app will make most of the buttons on your screens bigger so they’re easier to press and see. The main idea is to minimize distractions. But once the phone’s motion sensors detect that you’re stationary, it will revert to the standard view.
