Yesterday, we reported on the upcoming Nokia rugged phone which will serve as the successor to the Nokia XR20. The device was going to be called Nokia XR30, but WinFuture has now shared a new report clarifying that the device will be launched as Nokia XR21. We also get more details on the specs of the upcoming rugged phone which will feature a 120Hz display, Snapdragon 695 chipset, and a 4,800mAh battery.

The XR21 is said to bring a 6.49-inch LCD with FHD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The panel will be protected by Gorilla Glass Victus and will bring a 16 MP front cam. The rear will house a 64MP main camera with an Omnivision sensor and an 8MP ultrawide sensor. The device will be equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 695 chipset with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.

Nokia XR 21 will offer IP68 water and dust resistance and a 4,800mAh battery with support for 33W charging. The device is said to weigh 235 grams due to its ruggedized case. Oddly, XR21 is said to launch with Android 12, and Nokia plans to offer OS updates until May 2026 and security patches for another year after that. The phone will feature Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, NFC, and a headphone jack.
