When not overheating, the iPhone 15 Pro Max fails bend tests, like the one performed last week by Zack from the YouTube channel JerryRigEverything. It’s quite a sight to see how the back glass shatters when the phone is bent, and keep in mind that this is the first iPhone to fail such a test. We remember:

Today is the time to see whether or not the vanilla iPhone 15, which still has an aluminum frame, unlike the sophisticated titanium of the Pro Max, will share the same fate. Spoiler alert: no. See the full durability test for yourself and find out:

As usual, it all starts with a screen scratch test. Apple’s Ceramic Shield is a little more scratch-resistant than the Gorilla Glass used by most Android phones, but it still scratches at level 6 on the Mohs hardness scale and shows deeper gouges at level 7. It’s just that the marks they are not as pronounced as on other phones.

This model survived the bending test with flying colors, unlike its higher priced relative. The same goes for the iPhone 15 Plus, which was also finally tested.

We’re currently busy working on our in-depth, comprehensive reviews for all four new iPhones, so stay tuned – the first one is coming very, very soon.
