It seems like almost every big Android update Google releases initially comes with some kind of issue, and the launch of Android 14 last month was no different. For some people who had multiple user accounts on their devices, there might be an “out of space” error or, more seriously, their device would get stuck in a reboot loop after applying the update.

Not ideal, to say the least. Today, Google releases the November Android update for supported Pixels, and luckily, the bug that was causing the above issues has been fixed. The issue has occurred on many devices, it seems: Pixel 6, Pixel 6a, Pixel 6 Pro, Pixel 7, Pixel 7 Pro, Pixel 7a, Pixel Tablet, Pixel Fold, Pixel 8, and Pixel 8 Pro.

In addition to this, the update also includes fixes for an issue that caused the display to flash green when the display turns off under certain conditions (on the Pixel 7 Pro), one that caused NFC to be unstable, another that caused system instability when a app requires another app that is no longer installed, an issue that sometimes causes desktop icons to disappear when unlocking, an issue that causes the wallpaper to be misaligned for devices with a notch or punch-hole, and finally an issue that causes jerky screen movement when touch registration becomes inaccurate (on Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro).

Google says the launch will take a week to reach all devices out there. It will come out in stages, which depend on the operator and device. The new build number is UP1A.231105.001 for Pixel 4a 5G, Pixel 5 and Pixel 5a 5G, UD1A.231105.004 for Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro, and UP1A.231105.003 for all other supported devices.
