Meizu held a big launch event yesterday where it announced Meizu 20 series phones along with their latest Flyme 10 interface. The new Android-based firmware brings a visual overhaul dubbed Alive Design with a modernized look including new icons, widgets , menu designs and backgrounds.

Core system apps also get a makeover, and Meizu’s signature small window mode for apps has received new two-finger and long-press gestures. Flyme 10 brings Meizu OneMind 10 AI engine which promises improved frame rates, less system space usage and improved stability compared to previous versions. Aicy digital assistant now supports intelligent scanning and text recognition of real-time images and videos.

Meizu also shared that a Flyme 10 beta is coming to the Meizu 18 duo and Meizu 18s series in early April, followed by a stable release in May. Furthermore, the Meizu 17 series and Meizu 18X will receive the beta in late April while the stable release is expected in June.
