ZTE held a big launch event today in China, where it announced its latest Axon flagship smartphone and tablet: Axon 50 Ultra and Axon Tab. Both devices are equipped with Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, 80W charging and ZTE MyOS 13 boot.

ZTE Axon50 Ultra

Axon 50 Ultra brings two-way satellite messaging over the BeiDou Satellite Infrastructure (BDS) with the ability to send and receive SMS messages in areas without an adequate network connection. The phone is equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage and a ZTE-developed security chip with hardware-level encryption.

ZTE Axon 50 Ultra key specifications and design

Axon 50 Ultra is equipped with a 6.67″ curved AMOLED screen with FHD+ resolution and 144Hz refresh rate. The back houses a 64MP Sony IMX787 main sensor with OIS, a 50MP telephoto module with 3x optical zoom and a 50MP ultrawide camera.The phone boots ZTE MyOS 13 on top of Android 13 and includes a 5,000mAh battery with 80W fast charging.

ZTE axon pad

ZTE Axon Pad is a 12.1-inch Android tablet with IPS LCD with 1,600 x 2,560 px resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The slate is also equipped with Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset and ZTE security chip. The tablet supports 5G connectivity, stylus input, and a smart swipe keyboard, both sold separately.

Axon Pad comes with a massive 10,000mAh battery with 80W charging. It runs MyOS 13 based on Android 13. It weighs 605 grams and measures just 6.5mm thick. ZTE has not shared any pricing and availability details for the Axon Pad.
