Don’t get too excited about this as this is a very specific extension, only covering a total of five devices. The announcement was made on Discord, of all places, by Xiaomi India, and it concerns Redmi Note 10, Redmi Note 10 Pro, Redmi Note 10 Pro Max, Mi 11 Ultra and Poco X3 Pro.

If you bought one of these devices in India in the last couple of years and are currently experiencing a selfie camera issue or motherboard failure, Xiaomi should take care of it under warranty. It’s a small and very unique extension, leading us to believe that Xiaomi has identified some potential problems with these particular phones and parts and is trying to address the situation in some way.

Either way, the new conditions don’t appear to appear on the warranty information pages as of this writing, but let’s hope Xiaomi India doesn’t keep this potentially important announcement relegated to Discord only.
