The China-exclusive Xiaomi Civi series will soon have a new member, and that phone will debut a brand new chipset from MediaTek. The Xiaomi Civi 3 will be the first phone to launch with the Dimensity 8200 Ultra, likely an overclocked version of the Dimensity 8200 launched in December.

Xiaomi also confirmed that it has made improvements to image signal processing (ISP). These include reduced power consumption in the camera app, accelerated shooting speed and up to 30 new video functions which will be described in more detail at a later date.
Previous rumors suggest that the Civi 3 will debut with a 6.55-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The Civi 2’s pair of 32MP front-facing cameras are expected to carry over. The rear will see an improved 50MP Sony IMX800 sensor on the main cam. We’re also expecting a 4,500mAh battery with 67W fast charging. We’ll be waiting for more teasers on the Xiaomi Civi 3, so stay tuned.
