Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro will be presented later this week and the phones have already appeared on Geekbench. Both the Vanilla and Pro variants will have 16GB of RAM in at least one of their variants and will ship with Android 14 out of the box, which will be the basis for the new HyperOS.
Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro
The Xiaomi 14 ran Geekbench 5, while the Xiaomi 14 Pro ran Geekbench 6. These benchmarks are quite different, so the results cannot be compared to each other. However, we can compare them with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 powered phones to see the performance increase.
The Xiaomi 14 is about 20% more powerful in multi-core performance, compared to the Xiaomi 13 we reviewed, while the single-core is about 5% better. Likewise, the Xiaomi 14 Pro is about 20% faster than the Xiaomi 13 Pro according to our tests.
The listings also once again reveal the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor: 1×3.30 GHz Cortex-X4 + 3×3.15 GHz Cortex-A720 + 2×2.96 GHz Cortex-A720 + 2×2.7 GHz Cortex-A520. We’ve heard that the Cortex-A720 units could be in one large 5-core cluster, but we’ll have all the final details tomorrow during the Snapdragon Summit.
