WhatsApp’s premium subscription service hasn’t officially launched yet and is only available for beta users. This means that only members of the WhatsApp beta program can access the Premium menu, where all the extra features reside.

WhatsApp launches paid subscription for companies

According to WABetainfothe premium membership will be tailored to businesses, which means that most of the paid features won’t be particularly useful for the average user.

The premium account reportedly gives you a customizable contact link to your WhatsApp, which can be changed once every three months. It should be an easier way for customers to find a certain business instead of typing in a phone number. Telegram has a similar feature where users can share a direct contact link with others.

The paid version of the app will also allow you to link up to 10 devices to the same account at the same time. This way, employees can connect and manage the corporate account. Finally, you can make a video call with up to 32 participants.

Since the feature is still in beta, WhatsApp hasn’t come forward with an official statement or announcement, so we don’t know the price or launch date of the new subscription service.
