vivo launched the Y77 in China last month with the Dimensity 930 SoC and today the company announced its “e” variant, powered by the Dimensity 810 chip.

The vivo Y77e runs OriginOS Ocean based on Android 12 and is available in three memory configurations: 6GB / 128GB, 8GB / 128GB and 8GB / 256GB. It also has a microSD card slot for memory expansion up to 1TB.

The smartphone is built around a 6.58-inch FullHD + OLED screen with a refresh rate of 60Hz and a touch sample rate of 180Hz. And powering the whole package is a charged 5,000mAh battery. via a USB-C port up to 18W.

For photography, you get an 8MP front camera and a 13MP main camera on the back, coupled with a 2MP macro unit. The rest of the highlights of the vivo Y77e include 5G connectivity, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a side-mounted fingerprint reader.

If all of this sounds familiar to you, it’s because the vivo Y77e is a version of the Y77 available in Malaysia with slightly different specifications. The Malaysian Y77 is equipped with a 16MP selfie shooter and sports a 50MP main camera on the back. It also includes an LCD display instead of an OLED panel and runs Funtouch OS 12.

Going back to the live Y77e, the smartphone has three color options and the 8GB / 128GB model is priced at 1,699 CNY ($ 250 / € 245) in China. vivo did not disclose the price of the other two versions and we also do not have any information on the availability of the phone.
