The vivo X Fold2 has been part of the rumors for over a month and today the company has finally recognized the smartphone. Huang Tao, vice president of vivo, revealed that the new foldable will be the officially designated phone of the Boao Forum 2023.

The new leaflet will be a showcase of China’s technology, design and innovation, and the executive expects leaks and spy photos to emerge ahead of the official announcement in April.

The phone is expected to have a 4,800mAh battery with 120W fast charging. According to a now-deleted post by Digital Chat Station on Weibo, the X Fold2 is also expected to have a Sony IMX866 sensor camera, OIS, and ISP V2. This means that the primary camera will be the same as the 50MP shooter on the vivo X90 and iQOO 11 Pro.

Other rumored specs include a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset and dual ultrasonic fingerprint sensors, one for each screen. It would be the first in the world of leaflets; so far, manufacturers have opted to stick with one sensor, built into the power key.
