Today we have two new vivo phones, and it’s time to turn our attention to the vivo V25: a Dimensity 900 midranger with a 50MP selfie cam and a color-changing back. Let’s see what else it brings to the table in this roundup of key features.

The package contents include the phone, a SIM tool, a clear silicone case, a pair of wired earbuds with an included 3.5mm to USB-C dongle, a 44W power brick and a USB-C cable.

Our vivo V25 review unit is available in the eye-catching Aquamarine Blue color which not only looks good but also has the ability to change its hues thanks to the UV reacting Fluorite AG glass back. This is the same kind of experience we had with the vivo V23 Pro some time ago and it’s still nice to see the color change in real time. You can get creative with the stencils and customize the back to your liking.

We had a carabiner lying around and decided to test how good it would look on the V25’s back. Not too run down.

The rear of the V25 also features a giant camera island featuring the 64MP main cam with OIS and an 8MP ultrawide module and a 2MP macro cam. The most impressive camera is housed in the teardrop notch on the front: a 50MP f / 2.0 shooter with autofocus just like on last year’s vivo V23 Pro. We’ll be sure to test how well it handles selfies along with its video recording capabilities in the full review.

The 6.44-inch AMOLED panel features FHD + resolution and a refresh rate of 90Hz. Android 12-based Funtouch 12 works flawlessly and offers plenty of customization options to tinker with. The vanilla V25 gets a larger 4,500mAh battery with vivo’s 44W fast charge which according to vivo can perform a 0-61% charge in 30 minutes.

Keep an eye out for our full review of the vivo V25 coming in the coming weeks.
