The TrueCaller Assistant which was announced last September and was available in a few countries including the US and Australia has finally launched in India.

TrueCaller Assistant is an AI-powered call screening solution that uses cloud telephony and machine learning to answer calls in natural language and provides real-time transcription of what the caller is saying, helping you decide whether to accept the call or mark it as junk.

TrueCaller Assistant launches in India for Android users

TrueCaller Assistant currently supports English, Hindi and “Hinglish” languages, and we’re told there are no plans to add support for any more Indian languages.

You can try TrueCaller Assistant in India free for 14 days after which you can continue using it by subscribing to TrueCaller Premium Assistant plan which starts at INR149 ($1.8/€1.6) per month. However, as part of a limited time promotional offer, you can get it for ₹99 ($1.2/€1) per month.

It’s also worth mentioning that TrueCaller Assistant is currently only available to Android users in India, and the company told us that iOS users in India will have to wait a while for the call screening service.
