Xiaomi 12T Pro has an ace up its sleeve: a 200MP camera. Unfortunately, the only other cards he has hidden are an 8 and a 2. It’s not a strong hand and potential buyers are divided over whether this phone is a good choice.
Interestingly, some commentators in last week’s survey consider the 12T Pro to be an affordable Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 phone that’s a solid choice for gaming. The fastest Android chipset of 2022 is paired with the “biggest ever” vapor chamber on a Xiaomi T-series, plus there’s a large 5,000mAh battery for long gaming sessions that only requires a break of about 20 minutes before. to be able to go again thanks to the 120W charging system.
Additionally, this phone offers a sharper display than most in its class: it splits the difference between FHD + and QHD + and has the expected refresh rate of 120Hz and a touch sample rate of 480Hz. Not bad for a phone. from 750 €, right?
But as a € 750 camera phone, the Xiaomi 12T Pro was found to be lacking. Some are ready to live with the basic 8MP ultra camera and digital zoom only, some are not, and the two fields are roughly equal in size.

The poll was equally divided on the Xiaomi 12T vs 12T Pro issue. There was a slight preference for the Pro, but only a slight one. However, there is no shortage of Xiaomi phones with 108MP cameras available at various prices and with various chipsets: Dimensity, Snapdragon, take your pick.
And at $ 600 it’s just too expensive for a Dimensity 8100 gaming phone – basically the same chip is available in the Poco X4 GT for under $ 400 and you get a 144Hz LCD to boot. Perhaps unsurprisingly, most people are inclined to make a pass on the 12T.
Xiaomi stayed with 8MP ultrawide cameras (also featured on last year’s 11T duo), even though the 2020 10T models had 13MP sensors. Switching back to 13MP wouldn’t have made a big difference, but it would have helped the new T models sell better as camera phones.
