Huawei Matepad SE has been around for a few months and today the tablet has been relaunched with a new name: Huawei Matepad C5e. Japan will be the first market to get it, but it’s also on the international website, so more will follow.

The Matepad C5e is a pretty basic tablet with a Kirin 710A chipset, coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. The 10.1-inch LCD display has a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels and fairly thick bezels but nothing out of the ordinary – enough space for an easier grip and a 2MP front-facing camera. There is also a 5MP shooter on the back.

The 5,100mAh battery is charged via a USB-C port with speeds up to 10W. The Matepad C5e boots the Android 10-based EMUI 10.1 and there’s only one color option: Deep Sea Blue.

Huawei has yet to list the device in its online store in Japan, but we expect it to be around JPY 30,000, which is around $ 200, the equivalent of the Matepad SE price in China.
