Samsung’s Camera Assistant app makes a number of useful changes to the stock camera app, from faster shutter speeds to the addition of a 2x zoom crop, but until now it has remained exclusive to flagship Galaxy series phones S and Z Fold/Flip. The Samsung Galaxy A53 and Galaxy A54 with One UI 6 are the latest devices to get support for Camera Assistant features with a direct download from the Galaxy Store.

Camera Assistant also offers an automatic lens switching switch, Quick Tap Shutter, and the ability to disable automatic HDR, as well as a softer image to combat excessive sharpening. Since the Galaxy A53 and A54 are now supported, we can expect Camera Assistant to arrive on other Galaxy A-series phones in the coming months.
