GTA VI is real and coming in 2025. The game’s long-awaited first trailer launched a day earlier than previously announced, with Rockstar Games posting the video across all of its social media channels.

The first video of the long-awaited game comes 10 years after the launch of GTA V and 25 years after the founding of Rockstar Games. It is set in modern Vice City and we can see many similarities with real life Miami Beach and the state of Florida.
Lucia will be one of the main protagonists and, for the first time in GTA history, she will be a female character. She is seen in the video with her partner Jason, whose name has not yet been confirmed by Rockstar but has already been leaked several times in the past.

The video reveals many vehicles seen in Los Santos, clearly stating that both games are set in the same universe. The graphics won’t look like any other Grand Theft Auto game, although we saw almost no details as half the video are short clips from a TikTok-type social media site.
The trailer did not set an exact date of 2025, nor did it reveal the platforms on which GTA VI will initially launch. Some rumors suggest a date of April 1, 2025, which might seem like an April Fool’s joke, but this wouldn’t be surprising given Rockstar Games’ tongue-in-cheek humor.
