Did anyone get worried when they heard the word “beige” as the color name for the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4? Very few people would say beige is their favorite color, but the royal hue will look pretty cool, especially when paired with a zipper and gold trim. Here is a preview, courtesy of Evan Blass who posted the renders of three of the four colors for the Z Fold model.

After beige, let’s take a look at the faithful Phantom Black color. Well, maybe “Phantom Black”, maybe it will have a different name: it looks darker. Not much else has changed since the days of Z Fold3. The display aspect ratio of the cover has been curbed, the internal display has also changed (according to rumors, it is respectively 23: 9 and 12:10 for the new model against 24.5: 9 and 11.2: 10 for the old). The hinge would have been redesigned to reduce the crease.

Moving on, let’s assume this is the “gray-green” coloring. Digital images can be misleading for such subtle shades, but “green” isn’t the first color that comes to mind when we look at these images. “Phantom Green” on the old model was quite dark and also muted, but at least it was recognizable green.

The leaked SKU list mentioned a fourth colorway, Burgundy Red. Unfortunately, this was not part of this leak (it is, perhaps, exclusive to the region, the carrier or the site). It’s a shame because it sounded like the most interesting color. The Z Fold3 launched with a nice monochromatic palette and the “gray-green” option of the Galaxy Z Fold4 leans heavily towards “gray”.

As for the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4, that too will come in four colors and will be more vibrant than the Folds. We’ve already seen renders showing all four, but Blass has shared images that show the phone from new angles. So, for the sake of completeness, here they are:

The Samsung Unpacked event for Galaxy Z Fold4, Z Flip4 and new wearables (Galaxy Watch5 series and new Galaxy Pro earbuds) is scheduled for August 10, less than two weeks away.
