Not only does Samsung’s Bixby still exist, but it’s gaining new features. It might seem shocking if you thought that the Korean company’s assistant software had been abandoned, or at least not actively developed anymore.

As it turns out, Bixby is still alive and well. And now available for children! This exciting development comes thanks to a new update, which is currently rolling out. After installation, the assistant will acquire the ability to work with child accounts (for children under 13).

Kids can ask Bixby questions, listen to stories, play music and play games. Bixby will respond to children with age-appropriate and kid-friendly content.

For this to work, you’ll need to create a group for your family via your Samsung account. You can then set up child accounts that they can use on Samsung devices, and once they do, they can take advantage of Bixby.

Bixby for Kids is sadly only supported in the US and Korea at the moment, with more countries to be added gradually in the future.
