The Samsung Galaxy A54 has been leaking for months, but for some reason the company hasn’t made it official yet. I hope this happens soon. For now, we have one more piece of information about the device, and this one comes directly from Samsung. In particular, its official site in France.

The company has uploaded a calculation of the repairability score of the Galaxy A54, done according to specific French standards. This led to the document which you can see below.

Samsung calculates a high repairability score for the upcoming Galaxy A54 under French rules

The A54 ultimately gets a score of 8.4 out of 10, which is, curiously, higher than the Galaxy S23 and S23 Ultra. Both scored just 8.2 out of 10, just like the A54’s predecessor, last year’s Galaxy A53.

So things seem to be getting slightly better year on year, and it also seems like Samsung’s mid-rangers are slightly more serviceable than its flagships, at least by French criteria.

The report lists many positives, but the main negatives are the tools needed for a repair, as well as how the different parts are arranged inside the phone. It is also said that opening it is not a very easy matter. If not, everything seems to be fine, more or less.

So far, the Galaxy A54 was rumored to feature a 6.6-inch (or so) FHD+ AMOLED screen with 120Hz refresh rate, Exynos 1380 SoC, 6GB to 8GB RAM, 128/256GB of storage, a triple rear-facing camera system (featuring a wide-angle, an ultrawide, and a macro — no depth sensor this time), a single-hole selfie cam, and a 5,100mAh battery, albeit on a charge of just 25W
