A new set of specs for the upcoming Pixel foldable device was unveiled by developer Kuba Wojciechowscki in an exclusive report by 91Mobile phones. Google Pixel Fold (codenamed “Felix”) will be equipped with dual displays (internal and external) and both will be produced by Samsung.

The internal display will support a resolution of 1840 x 2208 (5: 6 aspect ratio) and the dimensions listed are 123mm x 148mm. After dusting off my geometry to calculate the hypotenuse diagonal display size (192.44mm), the display measures 7.58 inches diagonally.

According to Wojciechowski, the internal display will emit a peak brightness of 1200 nits with an average brightness of 800 nits. While there is no certainty from the source, they say the display could support a 120Hz refresh rate.

The same developer previously discovered Felix’s triple camera hardware, consisting of a 64MP IMX787 main camera, a 12MP IMX386 ultrawide, and a 10.8MP S5K3J1 telephoto lens. There is also an 8MP IMX355 selfie camera on the internal screen and another S5K3J1 for the external selfie camera.

Google’s “Felix” refers to a second foldable device. It was initially rumored that Google would release a leaflet in late 2021, but then it scrapped the plans and must have started working on what would be its successor. The first foldable Pixel was said to have a more modest range of cameras (the same as the Pixel 5) and a 7.6-inch internal display.
