Just a day after Samsung promised to release One UI 5.1.1 for its older devices, the company is now dropping the stable version of the software to Galaxy Z Fold4 owners in Europe. The same update is also affecting the Galaxy Tab S8 series.
The software version is F936BXXU4DWH5, weighs 2.76GB, and also comes with Google’s August 2023 security patch. The update brings a number of multitasking-related features such as up to four app icons in the system tray (recently used apps) and two-handed drag-and-drop that lets you move files between apps.
The new One UI also lets you hide apps that are open in pop-up window mode, and the recent apps menu now shows the current state of said app, whether it’s in full screen, split screen or pop-up window mode.
The Quick Share feature gets the ability to send files to others even if they’re not on the same Wi-Fi network, and you can now set an expiration time for files shared in Private Share.
The launch of Galaxy Z Fold4 is just the beginning, even older Z Fold, Z Flip and tablet devices will receive One UI 5.1.1.
