Samsung launched the Galaxy A35 last month as a low-end counterpart to the A55, and together these look to be the Korean company’s mid-range heroes for 2024, each with a distinct price range.

If you’re wondering what the internals of the Galaxy A35 look like, then you’re in luck because the YouTube channel PBKreviews he just completed a complete disassembly and reassembly of the A35 and, of course, filmed it for our enjoyment. So let’s look.

To get into the A35, a hairdryer is apparently your friend, and it all starts with removing the glass back plate, which reveals lots of screws to unscrew. Then you have to disconnect many cables, remove the motherboard which contains the rear cameras, the SIM and memory card reader, as well as the chips. After further disconnecting wires and unscrewing a screw, the subboard comes out. The battery has a tab to help you remove it and doing so reveals a large vapor chamber.

Once disassembly is complete, reassembly essentially follows the same steps but in reverse. Ultimately, the Galaxy A35 received a repairability score of 8.5 out of 10 (where 10 means most repairable and 0 means least repairable). The phone scored top marks for component availability and ease of battery replacement, and high (but not top) marks for internal organization and time needed for repairs, ease of screen replacement, and the ease of replacing other miscellaneous parts.
