Samsung has decided not to wait until 2024 to announce its latest crop of Galaxy A devices with the new Galaxy A15 duo and Galaxy A25 5G. Galaxy A15 is available in 4G and 5G finishes with both phones sharing the same key specifications apart from the chipsets. Galaxy A25 comes with more powerful cameras and Samsung’s in-house Exynos 1280 chipset.
All three new phones share 6.5-inch Super AMOLED displays with FHD+ resolution and Infinity-U cutouts. The A15 models get a 90Hz refresh rate while the A25 features a 120Hz panel that also peaks at 1,000 nits of brightness compared to the A15s’ 800 nits.
Samsung has also fitted a 13MP front camera to all three of its new Galaxy A phones and its new Key Island design which features a convex shape around the power and volume keys.
Galaxy A15 features MediaTek’s Helio G99 chip, 8GB of RAM and 128/256GB of expandable storage via the microSD card slot. A15 5G comes with Dimensity 6100+ and 8GB RAM and 256GB storage which is also expandable. A25 5G carries the Exynos 1280 chip with 6/8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of expandable storage.
Galaxy A25 5G cameras
On the back, the A15 models have a 50MP f/1.8 main camera along with a 5MP ultrawide lens and a 2MP macro camera. The A25 features a 50MP main shooter with OIS, an 8MP ultrawide lens, and a 2MP macro camera. All three new phones boot One UI 6.0 based on Android 14 and come with 5,000mAh batteries with 25W charging support.
Galaxy A15 color options
Color options include yellow, fantasy blue, optimistic blue, and black. Galaxy A15 4G starts at VND 4,990,000 ($205), Galaxy A15 5G is priced at VND 6,290,000 ($260) while Galaxy A25 5G starts at VND 6,590,000 ($271). Open sales in Vietnam start on December 16, and we can expect Samsung to launch all three devices in more markets in the coming weeks.
