A new report by MacRumors based on information from the analyst Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC). Ross Young suggests that the next generation iPhone SE will feature a 6.1-inch LCD with a notch. Young is confident Apple will introduce its next SE model in 2024, though his report doesn’t confirm that the device will ship with Face ID as it may instead come with a side-mounted Touch ID scanner to cut costs.
The upcoming fourth-generation iPhone SE is expected to reuse the design of the iPhone XR, although if it doesn’t carry Face ID, the notch will likely be less pronounced as it doesn’t have to fit the TrueDepth camera components. Previous rumors about the next generation iPhone SE have also suggested that it will reuse the iPhone XR design.
