Honor 70 (5G) is the entry-level device in the newly announced Honor 70 series, but it still offers tantalizing specs. The phone boasts a 6.67-inch OLED with FHD + resolution, 120Hz refresh rate and 1,920Hz PWM dimming rate.
The rear houses a 54 MP Sony IMX 800 main cam (1 / 1.49 “sensor with 1.0 µm pixels) just like on the Honor 70 Pro and Pro + variants. There is also a 50 MP ultrawide module which doubles as a macro cam and a 2MP depth sensor although you lose the telephoto module which is unique to higher tier phones. The selfie cam on the front is 32MP instead of the 50MP found on the Pros.

Honor has chosen Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 778G + chipset paired with 8 / 12GB of RAM and 256GB of base storage, although you can move up to 512GB of cutout if you need extra space. The software front is handled by the all-new Android 12-based Magic UI 6.1, announced alongside the Honor 70 series. There’s a 4800mAh battery that charges at speeds up to 66W.
Honor 70 is available in black, green, blue and gradient colors. It starts at CNY 2,699 ($ 405) for the 8/256 GB version and goes up to CNY 3,399 ($ 510) for the 12/512 GB version. Open sales in China begin on June 7th.
