Redmi Watch 4 and Redmi Buds 5 Pro also become official

Redmi held a big launch event in China today where we showcased the new Redmi K70 series smartphones along with two new smart wearables – the Redmi Watch 4 and Redmi Buds 5 Pro wireless earphones. The Watch 4 features a redesigned look with a large 1.96-inch AMOLED and many strap styles, while the Buds 5 Pro offer high-resolution audio, ANC and up to 38 hours of total playback.

Redmi Watch 4 features a 1.96-inch AMOLED screen with 390 x 450px resolution and 60Hz refresh rate. The panel has a maximum brightness of 600 nits and supports Always-On display functionality. This is the first Redmi Watch to have an aluminum alloy casing and is also waterproof up to 5 ATM.

Xiaomi’s HyperOS covers the software side, and you also get built-in GNSS positioning, NFC connectivity, and Bluetooth 5.3. The Watch 4 covers your regular health tracking with heart rate, blood oxygen, sleep, and stress monitoring. You’re also ready for activity tracking with over 150 sports modes to choose from, including voice-guided workouts and recovery programs.

The Watch 4 comes with a 470mAh battery that should last up to 10 days with AOD and all health tracking features enabled, or up to 20 days with lighter usage.

Redmi Watch 4 is priced at CNY 500 ($70) in China and is available on Xiaomi’s official website.

Redmi Buds 5 Pro

The Redmi Buds 5 Pro feature a traditional in-ear design and offer dynamic drivers with 10mm ceramic-coated tweeters and 11mm titanium-plated woofers. The earphones support LHDC 5.0 high-resolution audio streaming and offer active noise cancellation that is advertised to muffle up to 52 dB.

The Buds 5 Pro pair via Bluetooth 5.3 while the special e-Sports version features a separate 2.4Ghz USB-C transmitter that reduces latency to 20ms. Combined battery life between the earbuds and charging case is rated at 38 hours with 6.5 hours from the earbuds in ANC mode on and 10 hours with the earbuds off.
