Garmin has launched its Vivomove Trend watch that combines the style of a traditional analog watch with the health tracking and notifications and NFC capabilities of smartwatches. Garmin Vivomove Trend offers a 40mm fiber reinforced polymer casing with a stainless steel bezel. You’ll find traditional analog dials that tell the time, but there’s also a monochrome LCD display with a resolution of 254 x 346 pixels hidden behind.

Vivomove Trend can manage notifications from your paired iPhone or Android phone, including the ability to reply to messages on the latter. You get all the usual health monitoring features found on modern smartwatches including heart rate, SpO2, sleep and stress tracking. The watch can also track your workouts and even has Garmin Pay for contactless payments and transit cards.

Battery life in smartwatch mode is estimated at up to 5 days while standard watch mode is 6 days. The watch uses a proprietary clip charger that clips onto regular Qi wireless charging pads. The watch is also rated at 5 ATM which means you can take it for a swim in the pool.
