Last month a rumor claimed that Redmi would soon launch the K50i 5G in India and that it would be a renamed Redmi Note 11T Pro, which arrived in China in May. Today a new rumor ups the ante by saying that the K50i 5G is actually a renamed Redmi Note 11T Pro +, which also landed in China in May.
But wait, there’s more! The same source also says the launch will take place on July 20, with the first sale taking place on July 22. As this rumor has not yet been confirmed, take it with a grain of salt. That said, Redmi and Poco love playing the rebranding game, so it wouldn’t surprise us at all if something like this actually ended up happening.
In China, Redmi Note 11T Pro and Redmi Note 11T Pro + are basically the same phone, except that the former has a 5,080mAh battery with a 67W charge and the latter is equipped with a 4,400mAh cell that charge at 120 W. So, any of these based on Redmi K50i 5G, will have a 6.6-inch 1080×2460 144 Hz IPS LCD touchscreen, the MediaTek Dimensity 8100 SoC, a triple rear camera system (64 MP main, 8 MP ultrawide, 2MP macro) and a 16MP selfie snapper.
Today’s rumor tells us that the Redmi K50i will be available in two RAM / storage versions: 6 / 128GB and 8 / 256GB. It will be available in Phantom Blue, Stealth Black and Quick Silver.
