OnePlus is working on a foldable and for a long time we expected it to have a rather boring name: OnePlus Fold. This is probably not the case as the company will go with the more eye-catching OnePlus Open. The information comes from Max Jambor on Twitter, who also pointed out that the name was patented earlier this year.
One Plus open
OnePlus Open seems like a great idea, especially in a world of Fold devices: Galaxy Fold, Mix Fold, X Fold just to name a few. According to @MaxJmb, OnePlus also considered choosing Prime, Wing, Peak or Edge.

The new phone is expected to launch in late August, and renders suggest a circular camera island, flat sides, and an alert slider on the left side (when the device is open). The large display is likely to be a 7.8-inch AMOLED panel, while the cover screen would be a 6.3-inch AMOLED. The chipset should be Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, paired with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.
