The Red Magic 9 Pro will arrive on November 23, and nubia’s gaming arm has started with teasers. The first is the side view of the smartphone, which reveals that it will be flat on both sides: without a curved display and without any camera protrusion.
The image also showed a cooling vent on the side, which has been a staple in Red Magic flagships over the past few generations.
The cameras aren’t revealed, but we don’t expect anything major from a phone that aims to appeal to gaming enthusiasts. According to Digital Chat Station, the main camera will be a 50MP Samsung GN5 sensor with 1/1.57” size and OIS on the front. The ultra-wide camera will be the same Samsung JN1 variant, seen on the Xiaomi 14 and iQOO 12: a 50 MP sensor with a pixel size of 0.64um.
So far we have only heard about the Red Magic 9 Pro. There is still uncertainty whether nubia will introduce a non-Pro version or keep the marketing logic of the previous series (8 and 8S) and bring a pair of Pro variants.
