Qualcomm CEO Cristiano Amon mostly confirmed reports that the Galaxy S24 series will feature both Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and Exynos 2400 chipsets.

Speaking on a conference call about earnings reports, he said Qualcomm will have the majority market share of the Galaxy S24 series, coming soon. It probably means that reports that the Galaxy S24 Ultra will exclusively use the market-agnostic Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 (for Galaxy) are true.

The Qualcomm CEO seems to confirm the Exynos-Snapdragon S24 duality

He didn’t elaborate further, but it’s as official a statement as you might expect. The bulk of the market share makes sense, given that the Galaxy S Ultra is the highest-grossing S-series phone and that reports consider the North American S24 units to also be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. The same reports only cover the Korean and European Galaxy S24 and S24+ with Exynos 2400.

Samsung also teased the Galaxy S24 Ultra’s ISOCELL Zoom Anyplace technology, powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset – a clear nod to the Ultra being just Snapdragon.
