Back in November, Polestar unveiled its first smartphone that is expected to work in tandem with the Geely-owned brand’s expanding fleet of eclectic vehicles. We haven’t heard much about the Polestar Phone in recent months, but the device has now appeared on Google Play’s list of supported devices. This listing suggests that we are getting closer to the actual launch even though Polestar has not given any official confirmation yet.

Polestar presented a demo of its smartphone at the Polestar Day event which revealed a design inspired by the Meizu 20 series. Polestar Phone features a metal frame and three camera modules housed in individual camera rings – a 23-inch equivalent main camera mm with an f/1.9 aperture along with a 70mm telephoto (f/2.0) and a 15mm ultrawide lens with an f/2.4 aperture. The device is expected to feature the flagship Qualcomm 8 Gen chipset and use the Polestar operating system developed in collaboration with Meizu.
