The Xiaomi 14 Ultra is an impressive camera phone – Xiaomi even hired professionals to shoot a film on it. It features a 50MP 1-type main sensor, 50MP 75mm tele and 50MP ultra-wide angle (with AF), as well as a 32MP selfie camera with 22mm wide-angle lens. The rest of the phone is equally impressive with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, a 6.73-inch QHD+ 120Hz LTPO display with 12-bit color, and a 5,000mAh battery with 90W wired and 80W wireless charging.

It’s technically still up for pre-order, but it will start shipping on Monday. You can apply a £1199 voucher to the RRP of £1,300 and you should get another £50 off at the checkout.

The Xiaomi 14 is available now, Amazon is offering a £50 voucher and another £50 at the checkout for it. It’s smaller but not small with a 6.36-inch 1200p (120 Hz, 12-bit color) LTPO display. It also runs on Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and has a 50 MP triple camera: a smaller but not small 1/1.31″ sensor in the main part, 75 mm telephoto lens and 115° lens (without AF) in the ultra wide-angle mode). The 4,610 mAh battery charges 90W via cable and 50W wirelessly.

The Motorola Edge 40 Neo offers a fast 6.55-inch 144Hz AMOLED display (FHD+ resolution) for just £250. It comes with the Dimensity 7030 chipset with 5G capability, a 50+13MP camera and a 5,000 battery mAh with 68W wired charging.

For £50 more you can get the regular Motorola Edge 40. This has the same display but a Dimensity 8020 chipset, which is a little more powerful (especially the GPU). Additionally, this has an aluminum chassis rather than plastic, and while the battery is smaller (4,400 mAh), it supports both 68W wired and 15W wireless charging.

The Motorola Razr 40 cost £700 for a long time, but now you can buy it for £100 less. The internal 6.9-inch LTPO display at 144 Hz (FHD+, 10-bit) is really fantastic, the 1.5-inch linear display on the outside decidedly less so. The Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 isn’t ideal either, but it’s pretty cheap for a foldable.

Unfortunately, the Motorola Razr 40 Ultra is holding on to the £850 price point it’s held for months. This one has a better Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset and a much more usable 3.6” cover display (144Hz OLED). The cameras aren’t great though, especially at this price.
