You can tell the nubia Z50S Pro means photography business when you see the camera island up close. It has a similar aesthetic to the Xiaomi 13S Ultra or the Oppo Find X6 Pro and, although there are no 1-inch sensors, the main camera is still one of a kind.

The 50MP f/1.6 wide-angle camera has a focal length of 35mm – widely regarded as one of the best among classic “normal” photography lenses – and sits atop a respectable 1/1.49″ sensor. two other cameras are with 13mm Ultrawide macro capability with 50MP sensor and 8MP 80mm zoom camera.

Initially, the nubia Z50S Pro packs a high-quality 6.78-inch, 1260x2800px AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1,000Hz touch sampling rate. The panel also gets impressively bright.

Inside stands the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 2 chip with a 3.36 GHz Prime-X3 core and a capable GPU. These are kept cool by a huge 4,233mm² vapor chamber, but there’s no active cooling solution, like a fan.

The nubia Z50S Pro has an interesting design with flat front and back panels and a large flat metal frame. The right side has a customizable switch that defaults to opening and closing the camera, but can be set to open the game menu. In true Nubia style, there’s also a power button with red accents.

The two-tone back of the phone has a leather-like finish on one side. It’s not as addictive as it sounds, but its quality is undeniable.
